Report Tables.

Thursday, January 1, 2026.

40 m: Friday, 0100 - 0155 UTC, 7044 kHz.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: After the QNF I was called by WD6BNR (589) but not SSN. An excellent net.  All signals were a genuine 599 or better into Arizona, but some with QSB. This couldn't have been a better start to 2026. Thanks everyone, and have a great New Year 2026.  See you next time.
- De WX7V: Agree,  Very good net tonight, 40M was great coast to coast! Happy New Year to all!
- De AA5ES: Had some QSB with some dropping way down at times but good copy for the most part. Happy New Year to all!
- De KA5TJS: Band started going long after the first round and loosing TX and LA.
- De KO4WFP, KT5LA: Unavailable.

40 m: Friday, 0100 - 0155 UTC, 7044 kHz.

Notes:
- De WA4FAT: A thoroughly enjoyable SSN with outstanding band conditions and strong signals all the way around. Thank you to everyone for joining us this evening. A belated Happy New Year from your NCS, and we wishes for all the best.
- De AA7FV: Armchair copy on everyone.  Perfect conditions into Arizona tonight.
- De KO4WFP: Great net tonight - big group and good propagation!

40 m: Friday, 0100 - 0155 UTC, 7044 kHz.

Notes:
- De KA5TJS: Wow, strange band tonight!! QSB on most but sure has been better! CU all next week I hope.
- De KO4WFP: Stations with limited copy I heard well on UT SDR. I was surprised at how good signals tonight were compared with earlier on the bands. I worked a K3Y/4 shift for SKCC from 5-6 PM EST and it was rough.
- De AI5BE: It sure was a lot of chaos going on !! I finally heard Bill on the SDR along with a few others, and the only one that came in strong on radio was Teri KO4WFP at 599+. Everyone else was below the noise level here.
- De WA4FAT: 40 Meters had gone quite long by Net time and I was barely able to hear the close-in stations. Sorry for the early exit... All in all, very poor conditions even with the assistance of the Utah SDR.
- De WX7V: Unavailable.

40 m: Friday, 0100 - 0155 UTC, 7044 kHz.

Notes:
- De W1SFR: Well, this had to be the worst Net ever for me. Oh, well maybe next time will be better. I guess with all the Solar activity, we're still getting hammered on the bands. I didn't quite know what to do about hearing only one station but Darrel to the rescue with his QSP's.
- De AA7FV: Right at the end, I heard K0CDJ calling, RST 579,  (Bill in Minnesota) but he didn't join the net. Unfortunately conditions continued to be very poor tonight.  The geomagnetic index shot up to Kp=5+, G1 storm level, right before our net.  The solar proton flux leveled off to just below S1 storm level, rather than continuing to drop.  The sun continued to splutter out flares just below radio blackout level.
- De KT5LA: Steve, I’m sure that with only we west coasters (except N2TNN)  checking in, it didn’t help you as NCO! Yes, once again, a well positioned rhombic saved the day.
- De N2TNN: Sorry but no real copy on any station.  ROTTEN NIGHT!!! AA7FV was the only station I could copy and thanks for the QSP. Sri guys, better luck next week. This has been a terrible week for any net check-ins.

Notes:
- De KO4WFP: I had so much fun in the net tonight. (After we signed off, I was grinning from ear to ear and could barely contain my glee!) I agree with Allen's comment about big signals. The propagation in Savannah, GA was wonderful. Thanks for Darrel's very-capable QSP assists and everyone's patience as we ran longer than usual.
- De AA5ES: It was so nice to hear most of the net tonight!!

Thursday, February 5, 2026.

40 m: Friday, 0100 - 0155 UTC, 7044 kHz.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: An excellent net tonight.  As heard from Arizona into my receiver, conditions were superb with armchair copy on everyone.  No websdr needed.  With 10 net participants, I think there are 90 possible propagation paths between stations (allowing for path A-B not necessarily being the same as B-A)  - did I get that right?  Tonight most of those 90 paths, although not all, were reasonably good.  The situation was helped further by some websdr reception.  (Further indication that 40m conditions were good tonight:  a station from 9A3 had answered my preamble before the net.) It would be great if conditions were always as good as they were tonight.
- De KO4WFP: Great net tonite, Darrel, and thanks for being NCS. FB conditions - It is nice when propagation plays nice!
- De WA4FAT: What a terrific turnout for the SSN tonight! And an excellent job by NCS, as usual. No relays needed this session, for a change - just a pleasure to participate.
- De NI4E: Nice net last eve. Always enjoy hearing the music from a fine group of OPs.
- De AA5ES, WX7V: Unavailable.

Notes:
- De W1SFR: Bill - WA4FAT reported storms and had to QRT. WA2QOF Calling Darrel. Don't think was trying to sign in to the net.
- De AA7FV: Steve reported WA2QOF calling me.  I heard a station doubling with someone else, which may have been WA2QOF calling, but I didn't copy his call at all. Apart from WA2QOF, I had armchair copy on everyone this evening.
- De N2TNN: Wow, that went down hill fast. The first round was great and I was hoping the west coast would improve but at 8:20 all was usual, at 8:25 everyone was gone but I heard Darrel QSP to Roy and then ZIP... Smooth flow and easy copy until the band died.
- De KE9BHN: Just listening for now.

- De KO4WFP: Band was rough tonight. Very noisy here in Savannah, GA. (Lots of band noise on UT SDR as well as net progressed.)
- De KA5TJS: Not real good tonight with QSB and QRN here but heard most.
- De KE9BHN: Hey all. I was on air with you, but I didn't jump in fast enough, and then the SSN ended...

The longest SSN I can recall - a full 60 minutes of swiper fun :-) Funky band conditions with noise and deep QSB but signals were improving throughout the Net. A special welcome to newcomers KK7MMN and KD5SMF! I hope they might join us again.
- De AA7FV: Deep QSB on all signals at start, but all signals improving as the net progressed. An outstanding net.

Notes:
- De W1SFR: Oh boy. 40m was not my friend tonight to say the least. Heavy QRN and deep QSB was pretty rough. Sorry for those I couldn’t copy tonight. A bit frustrating if you can’t hear the NCS eh?
- De WA4FAT: Funky band conditions tonight - A high noise level and QSB as well. Never the less, we SSN'ers plugged away, no sweat!
- De N2TNN: Don’t know how Steve hung in there with that cold front approaching but my QRN level kept going up. Unfriendly storms in the NE.
- De AA7FV: Moderate lightning QRN in the background, and QSB on all stations.
- De KT5LA: I am surprised to find my call on anyone's list for tonight's reports. I could hear no one except Darrel. I set my portable station up in my yard, with a vertical using a Wolf River Coil. Terrible conditions on 40.

40 m: Friday, 0000 - 0055 UTC, 7044 kHz.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: Immediately after QNF I was called by AI5BE. After working AI5BE I was called by KR2Q and then N4LSJ, but not SSN stations. Conditions were very poor on 40m this evening, with an exceptionally high background noise level, and with deep QSB on all stations. Rise in solar proton flux up until 0h UTC on April 3.  It's only just below S1 storm level. I believe this solar proton flux was the reason for the high background noise during our SSN last night. The geomagnetic field had been at storm levels for most of the day too.  No wonder we had poor propagation for the SSN yesterday evening.
- De WA4FAT: Solar issues tonight along with QRN, QSB, and QRM (from that funky Soviet FSK station that has been on 40 for the past month or so.)

- De N2TNN: Surprise conditions for me tonight. I could barely hear everyone even with the IPO amp on. Signals were tinny, hollow sounding. I was able to make out some of the final wx reports. But my signal got out ok. That’s what makes these net so much fun.
- De WA4FAT: A quite noisy band this evening along with significant QSB, but all signals Q5 with no need for the SDR.
- De AA7FV: Very poor conditions tonight.  I had strong QRN, which I suspect is arcing at a local electricity company power pole. For transmit I was using the usual rhombic, beaming NE from Arizona, but on receive the QRN was less with my 4-ft active vertical.
- De WX7V: Sorry,  Just getting back from a few days off vacation.  Heard a part of the net - FB signals from WA4FAT, KO4WFP and W1SFR but couldn't stay.

Notes:
- De KO4WFP: Thank you to everyone for finding me at 10.133. I showed up early to reserve the frequency and found that pesky radar so I moved up the band. Too bad it didn't stop before the net rather than a minute after it started. We had a good group of folks tonight. Thank you to Paul KE9BHN for joining us. We're happy to hear you throw out your callsign and be part of the fun!
- De WA4FAT: Thanks for the QSY to 10133.00. That dadgum Russian over-the-horizon (OTH) RADAR was pretty obnoxious on our standard Net frequency. Darrel and I both hit 10121.50 to announce the QSY and it seemed to work, as we had a great turnout.
- De AA7FV: Before net time swapped reports with a couple of participants on 10121.5 kHz, waiting for the net to start.  No radar heard here. I found the email from Teri about radar QRM, and QSY to 10133 kHz. Conditions were gradually getting worse here as the net progressed. A lightning storm was approaching (but fortunately never arrived), and I had intermittent power line noise.
- De N2TNN: So, I had the motor boat radar on freq and was thinking how bad it was. Darrel was making calls so I hung in there and at 8:01 the radar stopped and not a sound… silence. Everyone was gone. Lucky I checked the email and caught the last QSY. Great net with all nice strong signals.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: Conditions were quite good, and all stations were solid copy into Arizona. There was an interfering carrier very close to our frequency, but the rig's IF notch took it out effectively. Immediately after QNF was called by and worked KY4GS (RST 569), an old friend.
- De N2TNN: The west coast dropped out on me with the second round but still readable. Always fun getting the signal reports and the wx reports.
- De WA4FAT: Aside from what sounded like some sort of military carrier near our frequency, the band was in tip top shape. My old SDR radio took care of the offending signal with ease.

Notes:
- De WA4FAT: Band conditions were not the best, especially for the west to east coast path, but we persevered.
- De N2TNN: The west coast was a 22 but readable. Always fun getting the signal reports and the wx reports.
- De AA7FV: Most signals were getting better into Arizona as the net progressed.
- De KO4WFP: All signals had QSB except for Bill next door in Alabama.
