Report Tables.

Sunday, January 4, 2026.

20 m: 1500 - 1530 UTC, 14055 kHz.

Notes:
- De F5LAW: A very Happy and Healthy Year 2026 to all: NCSs, QNIs and SWLs. Great sessions, too bad Mr Echo checked in again.
- De KN6BAZ: Initially, 549 weak signals from Darrel in a pre-NET call, gradually improving to 599+10dB. Quick check-in. I was able to copy Bill, VE3MRX, with QSBs. No copy on Yann or Blue, even on a local WebSDR.
- De FR4PU: Unavailable.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: 18087.5 kHz. ( A DX pileup on 18088.0). I used my phone to listen to the Utah #4 websdr as a backup. Conditions were very poor on 20m, but much better, although still mediocre, on 17m. After QNF I was called by and chatted with WZ2J, RST 579.

Sunday, January 11, 2026.

20 m: 1500 - 1534 UTC, 14054.5 kHz.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: 14054.5 kHz (14055.0 already in use). 1455 UTC: W5WWW 579  Ron in TX, just called to say hello, not to join the SSN. Both bands were poor today, but especially 20m.  Thanks, TJ for the QSPs.
From NOAA, Space Weather Prediction Center: "G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storms are likely on 11 Jan due to ongoing influence from a CME that left the Sun on 08 Jan.There exists a slight chance for R1-R2 (Minor-Moderate) radio blackouts over 11-13 Jan."
The geomagnetic field was up to Kp=5- just before our net. My guess is that the promised CME had arrived just in time for our SSN. The geomagnetic storming got worse once our Intercontinental SSN had started. Kp=5 and Kp=5+ G1 storm levels on Jan 11, perfectly covering our SSN times.
- De FR4PU: Unavailable.

Sunday, January 18, 2026.

20 m: 1500 - 1530 UTC, 14055 kHz.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: Disappointing conditions today, on both bands, although I was hearing my own weak echo (presumably RTW) on both bands. From Space Weather: Things are happening today (2026-01-19) Apart from the X-class solar flare yesterday, the solar proton flux is up to an S4 storm level.  I've not seen it this high before. Not unrelated, the geomagnetic Kp index is up to Kp=8+, G4 storm level.  I can't remember it being this high before either. The day isn't over yet. NOAA Geomagnetic Activity Observation and Forecast G3-G4 (Strong-Severe) geomagnetic storms are likely on early on 20 Jan due to the anticipated arrival of a halo CME that left the Sun on 18 Jan.NOAA Radio Blackout Activity and Forecast Radio blackouts reaching the R3 levels were observed over the past 24 hours. The largest was at Jan 18 2026 1809 UTC.

Sunday, January 25, 2026.

20 m: 1500 - 1530 UTC, 14055 kHz.

Notes:
- De AA7FV: Thanks everyone.  Of the 5 stations that I heard call this morning, only one was a true SSN station - thanks, Mike! One of the worst days for poor conditions that I can remember on the Intercontinental SSN.
- De F5LAW: 20m execrable again, 17m even worse! Darrel, I didn't try on 17m, heard you pre-net with Rich - WA1SKQ who had a good signal here, but no copy at all on you, extremely weak signal. Guess I'd better skip the Intercon net for a while, better one day...

Notes:
- De AA7FV: In this morning's 17m session,  the station AX2BPL checked in - except that he was RST 339 with me and I was only 95% certain that I'd logged the correct call.  This call doesn't exist in QRZ.com, so it seemed I'd probably got the call wrong.  I remembered that, some time ago, VK stations were able to use an AX call, so as a gamble I sent an email to VK2BPL.  I just received a response from him that today is Australia Day, and stations are allowed to use the Special Prefix AX.  So it was indeed AX2BPL who checked into the SSN this morning, Paul just north of Sydney, Australia.  It's been a while since we had VK check into the SSN.  Happy Australia Day!
